Pyranha Demo Boats
This is a list of Pyranha Kayak models and sizes that we currently offer for demo at the NOC Outfitter's Store in Bryson City, NC. We will have full size runs of demo boats in Spring of 2027.
Important: Duke energy stops daily scheduled water releases on the lower Nantahala River after October 31st, 2026 and will resume daily releases in March of 2027. Duke releases are not guaranteed in the off season even if they are listed on the release schedule. Duke Flow Releases
Demo kayaks are first come, first serve. They cannot be reserved ahead. You must have class II-III whitewater kayaking experience, a reliable combat roll, and your own gear in order to demo. Demo boats may only be taken on the lower Nantahala River or the lake nearby. Demo boats may not be paddled past the play hole just downstream from the Outfitter's Store.
Pricing: 1 hour - Free, Half Day (up to 4 hours) - $35, and Full Day (More than 4 hours) - $50
Storm - Small, Medium, & Large
We’re fired up to have the new Pyranha Storm kayak in the demo fleet, ready to paddle now at the Outfitter’s Store. The Storm is loose, fast, and insanely playful, but still confident when you’re linking moves downstream. With that wide planing hull, quick edge engagement, and poppy half-slice feel, the Storm makes every wave, eddy, and splat more fun. If you’re looking to level up your play while keeping everyday river performance, you’re going to want to get in this boat ASAP.
Inazone - S/M & M/L
The Pyranha InaZone is a classic river running kayak designed for paddlers who want to surf waves, catch eddies, and sharpen their river-running skills. With a stable planing hull and forgiving design, the InaZone is playful, predictable, and perfect for developing confidence while having fun on the river.
Helectron - Small, Medium, & Large
